Waking Up

Morning Thoughts From Sam:

Mom.  If I had wheels on my penis...I could just like roll around when I do the splits.

...

Oooookkkkkk.

Favorite

Every night at dinner, we go around the table and say what our favorite part of the day was.  Every night Sam says the same thing, "Going to two schools."  He goes to 4K/pre-school, but it's not a full school day, so he also goes to daycare which he calls school.  So, two schools.  Favorite part.  Every day.  Got it.

Buuuuut, then most mornings, when I say it's time to get ready for school, he topples into a sad pile of Sam crying and yelling about how he doesn't like school and he doesn't want to go to school and school is dumb.  Until I remind him that every night he tells us school is his favorite part of the day.  Then he pops up, smiles, and says, "Oh yeah!  Ok!  Let's get ready!"

Totally normal.

So Sweet

Even if he won't let me give him kisses...he's still pretty cute.

Feelin' the Love

This was Sam's reaction when I tried to give him a kiss a couple days ago...
Nice.

Sleepy Ha-Ha's

When my niece Abby was younger, she coined the term "sleepy ha-ha's" to refer to the giggles one gets at bed time when one is tired but not yet asleep and everything is funny.

Sam had himself a case of the sleepy ha-ha's the other night.  But it just consisted of him laying there quietly saying "buttcrack" and then laughing like a maniac.  Over and over and over until he finally fell asleep.

Sweatin'

Alex loves Gatorade.  I don't love the cost or the fact that if you're not exerting yourself, Gatorade doesn't make much sense to me.  After a hockey practice or game?  Sure.  After school?  Not so much.  We explained to him that he can have it every once in a while, but that the purpose of Gatorade is to replenish your body after exercise.  Guess who wants to exercise with me now?

He is all about the elliptical, and since he's frighteningly close to my height, he can safely use it.  So, last night Travis attached the tablet to it so Alex could watch a show and damned if that kid didn't stay on that machine for a good 20 minutes.

I was concerned this sudden desire to work out was coming from a driver other than Gatorade, so I asked him why he wants to exercise.  "Uhhh, so I can be in shape and be faster."  Duh, Mom.

The part that really kills me about this?  He has decided calling it an elliptical just won't do.  According to Alex, it's the PedalTron 2000.
